1916             Company founded.

1942             Nippon Chain Hoist Manufacturing Corporation established with capital of 600,000 yen following a merger of four companies under a wartime corporate merger law.

1945             Organization and factory undergo post-war reform; company is re-launched.

1954             Capital increased to 15 million yen. By this time, the company had increased capital
on two other occasions, had established a sales office in Tokyo, and had been commended by the Osaka prefectural government for excellent factory operations.

1959             Capital increased to 30 million yen. Gains a head start in the industry in terms
of developing electric chain hoists.

1962             Capital increased to 60 million yen. By this time, the company had established sales offices in Nagoya and Kyushu and had set up a nationwide sales network.

1963              Authorized by the Japanese Labor Standards Bureau as a crane manufacturer.

1967              Celebrates 25th anniversary and constructs head office building. Standardizes manual and electric chain hoists and expands production and welfare facilities.

1971              Brand name “Nitchi” is adopted as new company name (company name changes from Nippon Chain Hoist Manufacturing Corporation to Nitchi Co., Ltd.) in anticipation
of further growth as a specialized labor-saving conveyance equipment manufacturer.

1978              Receives an award of merit from the Governor of Osaka for achievements in inventions.

1981 Capital increased to 100 million yen.

1984              Under the first five-year plan, separate factories are integrated into the head office factory and reforms are undertaken to modernize production by taking measures such as computerizing the logistics system.

1987              Expands and enhances the production system and integrates the domestic and overseas sales organizations in an effort to achieve further growth as a specialized manufacturer of chain/hoist/conveyance systems.

1989              Under the second five-year plan, sets goal of reinforcing management and becoming a world-leading chain hoist manufacturer.

1992              Capital increased to 200 million yen.

1992              Joins the Katsuyama Group.

1993              Issues bonds for the first time.

1994              Signs a technical tie-up agreement with a Chinese company.

1997              Signs a technical tie-up agreement with Parsons of the UK.

1997              Under the third five-year plan, establishes an international-standard quality management system aimed at achieving ISO 9001 certification. Also develops new products other than chain hoists.

1998              Issues bonds for the second time.

1998              Introduces a new production control system.

1998             Certified for ISO 9001.

1999             Starts sales of hand crane systems (signs a technical tie-up agreement with KCI Konecranes of Finland).

1999             Commended by the City of Higashi-Osaka as a company of merit.

1999             Presented with a Silver Order of Merit by the Japanese Red Cross Society.

2000             Wins a silver prize in the Higashi-Osaka Manufacturing Awards.

2001             Certified for ISO 14001.

2002             Certified for ISO 9001:2000.

2007             Certified for ISO 14001:2004.

2008             Upgrades RB5A lever hoist. (JAPAN only) Releases RC2 compact electric chain hoist. (JAPAN only)

2010             Certified for ISO 9001:2008.

2013             Releases six models of HN1 series manual chain hoists.
                      Releases seven models of RN1 series lever hoists.
                      Releases six models of BTN1 series DC brushless electric chain hoists.

2014             Releases four models of KHN series handcranes/steel rail.
                      Releases two models of KTAN series handcranes/aluminum rail.
                      Releases five models of KA1SN/KA2SN series air hoists.
                      Releases 17 models of KABN series air balancers.

2015             Releases six models of RB5A series lever hoists.
                      Releases two models of RB5A Shipyard hook model (1.6t,3.2t).

2017             Certified for ISO 14001:2015.

2018             Certified for ISO 9001:2015.
