Tesac Shinko was jointed by Tesac wire rope and Shinko wire rope.

Tesac Histroy:

-1912
Founded as Kansai Rope Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
Commenced manufacture of manila ropes at Nakakita-cho, Kishiwada-shi, Osaka

-1918
Commenced manufacture of wire ropes at Tsuda, Kaizuka-shi, Osaka

-1932
Shifted the facilities of Nakagita Works to Tsuda Works and continued manufacture of manila ropes at Tsuda Works.

-1943

Founded Teikoku Sangyo Co., Ltd. by amalgamating 4 companies with start-up capital of 14.4 million yen to implement effective management.
They include:
Kansai Rope Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
Toyo Hard and Bast Fiber Spinning Co., Ltd.: Manufacturer of jute products since 1915.

Sano Spinning Co., Ltd.: Manufacturer of cotton yarns and cotton textiles since 1919.

Senshu Fabric Co., Ltd.: Manufacturer of cotton yarns and cotton textiles since 1907).

Separated Fiber Rope Works from Tsuda Works with capital of 2,000 million yen.

Installed 72” large rope closing machine

Changed company name to Tesac Co., Ltd.

Constructed Nishikihama Plant at Nishiki Naka-cho, Kaizuka-shi, Osaka to move and concentrate all manufacturing departments.

Established TESAC WIREROPE CO., LTD.

Lay of Wire Rope:

The lays of wire ropes, with few exceptions, are divided roughly into two kinds-Regular lay and Lang’s lay.

Regular lay, in which the stands are twisted in one direction, and the completed strands are laid up in the opposite to make the rope. This gives an outward appearance of the wires being parallel to the axis of the rope
Lang's lay, in which the strands are laid up to form the rope in the same direction as the wires are twisted to make the strand. This gives an outward appearance of wires being diagonal to the axis of the rope.

The advantage of using Lang's lay is that such a rope as constructed offers a better wearing surface when in use, and therefore, can be reasonably expected to serve for a longer period than Regular lay rope.
Regular lay rope is more flexible than Lang's lay rope and easily spliced. There are tow kinds of direction of lay-right hand and left hand-as shown below.

Combined with regular lay and Land’s lay, they form
No.1 Right hand regular lay.
No.2 Left hand regular lay.
No.3 Right hand Land’s lay.
No.4 Left hand Lang’s lay.
The right hand lay is the most popular.
